I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
